Hawks Kids Out-of-School Care Claimed

Hawks Kids Out-of-School Care Program provides a flexible environment where children have a choice of activities planned based on their interests.

• Art (open-ended art where children have the ability to exercise their creativity and divergent thinking skills; at times it may be something that is demonstrated or taught to learn certain techniques)

• Manipulatives (it may include planned set up for miniature worlds to opening up an old laptop or phone)

• Sensory (many children enjoy a variety of sensory activities such as magic sand, artificial snow, water beads with tools to measure, weigh, organize, explore, and experiment)

• Science (from simple experiments to some amazing ones that children want to repeat again and again)

Child-centred activities are also supported by a choice of many games, toys and other play materials.

After some time with their choice of exploration activity, children are welcome to wash their hands and enjoy their snack. *Note: Parents are expected to send their child with a healthy snack.

After snack, it’s time to go play outside or in the gym which contributes to the children’s physical development (organized and free games).

On special days, we may bake or cook something for everybody to share.

We recognize how books can enrich children’s development and provide new, interesting, and developmentally appropriate books on a weekly basis.
