About The Centre:

Experience childcare the way it should be.

Montreux Childcare Centre is located in the small Montreux Shopping Centre on St. Moritz Dr SW. It’s our newest and largest centre, supporting a wide variety of programs. There is a spacious back yard, a park within walking distance, and an indoor gym for inclement weather.

This licensed and accredited centre offers care for children aged 12 months to 6 years of age on a full- and part-time basis. Our children learn in a fun and loving environment with plenty of hands-on experiences. Our staff are dedicated, educated, experienced and excited to work with children and families to provide the skills necessary for the future.

Lunch and snacks are prepared daily by our on-site cook and are served family-style.

Services Provided:

Childcare for children 12 months up to 12 years of age. Breakfast, hot lunches and afternoon snacks provided daily. We are open from 7 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and we are open year round. We have friendly and caring staff who love to work with children and families to provide quality, developmentally appropriate care. We also provide an infant and toddler program as well as full and half-day preschool with French, music and sign languages and a before and after school care program.

Program Goals:

To help children develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially in a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate play environment with caring and educated childcare professionals who are supportive and respectful. The child’s self-esteem should always be a primary consideration in the childcare program. The child must always be treated with respect and affection to enhance his/her own self-image. Activities must be age appropriate in order to avoid frustration and boredom. A wide spectrum of experience is offered to the child through a large variety of toys and equipment; musical, literacy, dramatic, art, scientific activities, and frequent outings within the neighbourhood. Caregivers interact with the children using various centers to promote language development, creative thinking, gain observation skills, and improve problem solving skills. Caregivers also encourage sharing, cooperation, independence, and taking responsibility. Through their interactions, conversations, and comments, Caregivers should always consider the child’s self-esteem.
