How much does your service cost?

CareFind is a free service for parents and guardians.

What is your screening process for child care providers?

CareFind works with accredited, licensed and regulated child care centers, preschools, out of school care and approved dayhomes providers.

How do I choose a child care provider? What questions do I ask?

We strongly encourage parents and guardians to do your own research, ask questions, obtain information, and schedule a tour prior to making a decision. CareFind helps you find child care, but does not endorse any child care providers. Servus Union Skate For A Toonie Night

What: Come out to Olympic Oval and enjoy skating down the 450-metre oval ice surface for just $2.

When: Monday, January 27 at 6 PM – 8 PM

Where: Olympic Oval, 288 Collegiate Blvd NW, Calgary

Admission: $2.00 including helmet and skate rentals. Members with Servus Credit Union skate free.

Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk

What: Watch the king penguins waddle through the zoo for a daily enrichment walk.

When: 11:00am (Monday – Sunday) with weather permitting

Bell Let’s Talk

What: In support of Bell Let’s Talk Day, the National Music Centre has put on a full day of events to help educate and spread awareness on mental health.

When: Wednesday, January 29 at 10am – 5pm

Program Breakdown:

10 am – 5 pm: Mental health community exhibition in Canada Music Square (FREE to the public)

12 – 2 pm: NMC President’s Tour with Andrew Mosker, highlighting healing and restorative power of music

3 – 3:30 pm: Kimball Theatre Presentation: Music and Emotions

3:30 – 4 pm: Drum therapy session led by JB Music Therapy (FREE to the public)

What: In partnership with Calgary Public Library, Deerfoot City has planned a fun friday morning with activities such as stories, singing, crafts and more. Recommended for children ages 2 – 5 however all is welcome.

Family Fridays at the TELUS Spark

What: Looking for ways to spend Friday evenings with the family? TELUS Spark is offering $5 admission rates for all children under 17 years of age to enjoy with the whole family. Get dinner, explore the science centre and enjoy spending family time together.

Millican Ogden Lego Contest:

What: The Millican Ogden Community Association Annual Lego Building Contest is back on for another year of masterpiece built by local Lego artists of all ages. Come in during their public viewing time to view the lego creations, participate in their craft centre and mystery or team-building contest.

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

What: The month of February doesn’t just mean Valentine’s Day! Every February, local participating cafes, restaurants and chocolatiers compete for the title YYC’s Best Hot Chocolate, Best Spirit Chocolate and Cup That Runneth Over Award. The public is invited to test out participating location’s hot chocolate and vote online for their favourites. Partial proceeds from each drink sold go to Calgary Meals on Wheels!
