Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a high quality early childhood program in a clean, safe and nurturing environment, which will promote the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children.

We think it is particularly important to provide an atmosphere filled with developmentally appropriate toys and equipment that encourage imagination and exploration. Our caregivers will ensure a safe environment in which children can play and learn is maintained.

We know that play provides the most natural way for children to learn. Play encourages the development of the whole child in a non-threatening way, and we believe that all children should be in an environment where they experience trust, acceptance and respect. In such an environment children will begin to develop positive self-esteem as well as respect for others.

Program

Before and after school program for children from 3 to 12 years

The main goal is to provide a stable place for kids to relax, and learn in an environment that they can call their home away from home. We offer breakfast and snacks for the morning group and a healthy and delicious lunch/dinner and snacks for the after school group.

Nutritious Meals

Cornerstone Child Day Care provides quality snacks as well as a nutritious breakfast and lunch that will fuel your child with the energy they need to play and grow.

Goals & Objectives

Here is a broad overview of what we believe are the major underlying goals of a great childcare center.

1) To develop personality and social awareness, through experiences and activities which would create a warm and caring atmosphere.

2) To develop sensory awareness through modifying perceptions of the environment as they grow and learn.

3) Provide a customized program that is age-appropriate, individually – appropriate, and culturally sensitive, hence meeting specific needs.
